Since Chrono Trigger's release on Steam in February it has been lambasted by fans. Select it and you must save the configuration after you assign the L and R buttons (specifically the R trigger, on the bottom of the list). I think i found the solution for my problem. Click the PC icon in Cheat Engine in order to select the game process.
